It Is Finished

We brought our home service to a conclusion yesterday with Crown of Life Lutheran Church in Sun City West, Arizona.

Relatively in our old back yard of Phoenix, Crown of Life have been partnering with us since we first began in 2021, and it was a great note to conclude a fantastic home service with. Paul preached Saturday evening and again Sunday morning, with Gena accompanying him Sunday morning for a post-worship update with the congregation. We were able to touch base with members of their Board of Mission, and were surprised at how warmly we were remembered and welcomed by the congregants as a whole.

Our US time has come to a conclusion and we turn our eyes somewhat towards home, though albeit a bit convolutedly. Rather than returning to Asia directly, we’ll meet up with our Asia team in Wittenberg, Germany, for a week of meetings. Paul will arrive early for two days of leadership meetings before the general gathering formally begins June 16. While we’ve been able to visit Germany in the past, this is the first time we’ll be to Wittenberg, and it should be an interesting time of reconnecting with current workers in the environs where Martin Luther’s peculiar service to the Word began just over 500 years ago.
