While I was gone the family was busy not just with visas but with preparations for Christmas. We were ecstatic to find out (back in September!) that Christmas decorations (including artificial Christmas trees) could be purchased in Medan. The kids were particularly excited to make the place feel a bit more festive for the Advent/Christmas season. Naturally, the enlisted the assistance of our good friends Yuni and Santa (!) to help!
Within short order they had things put together and lookin’ spiffy!
They were even able to find an Advent wreath!
Though there’s no chance of a white Christmas, it’s nice to have the house feeling a bit more like home. We pray all of you are enjoying your Advent season and preparations for our Lord’s return based on his first arrival!
