We’re all past whatever ailments dragged us down for a week or more. Thank you for your prayers! We were also able to get our wall repainted, the electrical outlet checked out, a new gas cannister and a newer, heavier-duty regulator and we’re back in action kitchen-wise as well.
We’re in our third of four weeks in Unit 5 of our nine language study units. We should finish at the end of October, just before we head to Singapore for several days. I’m excited to meet up with some folks I’ve been having weekly (somewhat) Zoom meetings with for the last year. I’m also very excited to be meeting with the Bishop of the Lutheran Church in Singapore, Rev. Lu Guan Hoe. Prayers are appreciated that this meeting is the start of further work & conversations together in the future.
We’re also locking in airfare for the regional retreat in January. Workers & families from throughout Southeast Asia will gather in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, for several days of training, fellowship, and regrouping after three years separated by Covid. It’s an exciting opportunity to connect in person after working almost exclusively through Zoom for so long. We will continue on from Phnom Penh to Vietnam to visit Concordia International School Hanoi. It’s a blessing to connect with brothers & sisters in Christ around Southeast Asia for encouragement and support, and exciting to see how we might continue to work together in the future!
Thank you for your continued prayers and support. We are able to serve here only because of partners like you. It’s a beautiful thing to experience the body of Christ at work in this way!
Iβm so glad that things are back in working order and everyone has been restored to health. It is truly amazing how our Lord takes care of us. We will be praying for your upcoming travels and meetings. He will direct your steps making the way clear. We have this hope as an anchor for our soul, firm and secure. May you know that the Lord is holding you firmly in His arms!
Thank you for your prayers for my light momentary affliction. I have one more infusion this evening then inhaled antibiotics for several weeks. No adverse side effects so far! God is faithful and He loves us more than we can know this side of eternity.
Be strong in the Lord and the power of His might. Much love to you!! πππ
