The Asia Region held a Women’s Retreat in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. It’s the first one in quite some time, and participation and anticipation were running high. All the women in the Asia team, whether Called workers or spouses, were invited and the response was very good.
The theme was centered around managing changes through life, with Ecclesiastes as the base text. Fellowship, cultural experiences, Bible study, discussion, and food all formed part of the time away. Gena was able to attend and enjoyed the experience and the opportunity to connect and re-connect with other women on the field.

Above: Melinda Thews, Gena, Aimee Cima and Martha Mahlburg prepare to head their separate ways back to Taiwan, Indonesia, Cambodia and Sri Lanka, respectively. Hannah Hester from Taiwan is trying to hide behind Mindy!
Please keep the spouses and family members of LCMS workers in Asia and around the world in your prayers. They contribute greatly to the work but rarely get the recognition! Likewise, keep the workers in Asia and around the world in your prayers as well!
